Cypripedium Axel Nannorrhops These lenten rose selections areCypripedium 'Axel' is a 1998 hybrid, first created by Sweedish orchid breeder, Svante Malmgren, who crossed Cypripedium parviflorum and Cypripedium tibeticum. The showy hybrid produces large pouches atop 18" tall stalks. Each flower is composed of three violet twisted sepals, and a pouch which is white, flushed nicely with burgundy.
